Meet The Team

Michael Lucey is a Principal of Water’s Edge Environmental, LLC with over 30 years of experience in the environmental consulting arena. His responsibilities include direct communication with our clients and engagement with their Legal Counsel, Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Developers, Realtors, and Contractors to create strategies and solutions resulting in successful permitting with governing agencies.  He has decades of experience managing all phases of residential and commercial developments requiring environmental review and compliance where he maintains an exemplary reputation with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies resulting in efficient permit application reviews and approvals.  In addition, Mr. Lucey has extensive experience in the design, installation, monitoring, and management of wetland mitigation projects.

Mr. Lucey is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and is certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist, (PWS).

Bryan M. Schuler is a Principal of Water’s Edge Environmental, LLC with over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting arena. His responsibilities include direct communication with our clients and engagement with their Legal Counsel, Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Developers, Realtors and Contractors to create strategies and solutions resulting in successful permitting with governing agencies.  He has decades of experience managing all phases of residential and commercial developments requiring environmental review and compliance where he maintains an exemplary reputation with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies resulting in efficient permit application reviews and approvals.  

Mr. Schuler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (currently Stockton University).   He is also a PADI Certified Advanced Open Water Diver.  Bryan resides in Upper Township, Cape May County, NJ where he is a passionate family man and avid saltwater fisherman. 

Marnie J. Niederhofer is Senior Biologist at Water’s Edge Environmental, LLC. Her expertise includes freshwater and coastal wetland delineations, dune delineations, wetland mitigation design and monitoring, wildlife and plant surveys, habitat identification, and report preparation with reference to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for pre-purchase assessment, permit analysis and development feasibility of properties. 

Marnie is a graduate of Stockton University with a Professional Science Masters (PSM) as well as certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist, (PWS) through the Society of Wetlands Scientists and a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) from the Society of Ecological Restoration. Marnie is a PADI Certified Diver and Underwater Naturalist as well as serves on the City of Ocean City Environmental Commission.

Cape May County Vocational-Technical Center, Drafting Design Technology, Class of 1972.  John has over 55 years of drafting experience in survey, engineering, architectural and environmental planning.

Nicole Hyde is a Senior Environmental Specialist at Water’s Edge Environmental. She is a graduate of Stockton University with a B.S. in Environmental Science and minor in Geology. Nicole also holds a Wetland Delineation Certificate from Rutgers University. Combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience, her responsibilities include wetland delineations, NJDEP and Federal environmental permit applications, GIS technology, and regulatory compliance assessments.

Kristopher Morgenweck is a Biologist at Waters Edge Environmental. He graduated from University of the Sciences with a B.S. both in Biology and Health Sciences, while playing baseball there as well. Kris also earned a Wetland Delineation Certificate from Rutgers University and is a PADI Certified Advanced Open Water Diver. Kris has versatile experience, whether he is in the office working on permit applications or performing fieldwork such as wetland delineations, endangered and threatened species surveys, site soil analysis, and habitat evaluations, among others.

Sarah is a Biologist at Waters Edge Environmental, LLC. She is a graduate from Stockton University with a B.S in Marine Science and a M.S. in Environmental Science. Sarah also has received a Wetland Delineation Certification from Rutgers University. Sarah has been part of the team since February 2023 and participates in the preparation of NJDEP permit applications, wetland delineations, and habitat assessments.
